Fellow Rotarian Tawainga Katsvairo, talked to us about
Better Universe and Citizens
, an organization that is trying to help with the much-needed grass replenishment in Haiti.
Haiti has one of the highest soil erosion rates in the world. It’s also the poorest country in the American continent with an income per head of about $2 per day. This organization's effort is aimed towards a solution for land reclamation, clean water, disaster readiness, habitats for wildlife, fodder for livestock and to reduce poverty through planting perennial grasses.
